Top Ten: Top 10 Books to Use in the Classroom

I feel like a lot of the books I read could and should be used in a classroom. I mean there were a few I wouldn’t recommend but most of the books could be helpful or fun in a certain or all classrooms. Here’s my list that I would recommend:

  1. Word Wizard by Cathryn Falwell  word wizard
  2. What Can You Do With a Shoe by Beatrice Schenk de Regniers  what can you do with a shoe
  3. That is not a Good Idea by Mo Willems that is not a good idea
  4. The Retired Kid by Jon Agee the retired
  5. The Pirate of Kindergarten by George Ella Lyon the pirate of kindergarten
  6. The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate the one
  7. Me…Jane by Patrick McDonnell me...jane
  8. How Big is a foot? by Rolf Muller how big is a foot
  9. Dog Loves Drawing by Louise Yates dog loves drawing
  10. Be Who You Are by Jennifer Carrbe who you are

All of these books either have a good lesson behind them, have helpful information (teaching lessons), or are just plain fun to read in class!!

  1. All of these books look fun and informative. Though I won’t ever have a classroom library I will have a children’s library for my own kids so I am always look for books that teach a valuable lesson or get kids thinking about the important things 🙂
